Steve Benjamin joined the North Sails team in October of 2000. Previously Steve, known throughout the sailing community as "Benj" was running Banks Sails USA, based in Oyster Bay and Bethpage, NY, from 1988-2000. Benj is experienced in every aspect of delivering increased boat speed from sail design and sail setting to hull preparation, rig tuning, instrumentation and steering.

Tom McLaughlin (Tomac) has grown up with North Sails, in 1967 he was hired by Lowell North as a young dinghy sailor in San Diego. A two-time college All-American, he sailed a variety of small boats in many locations while learning the art and science of sailmaking. His sailing experience includes such highlights as participation in the Admiral's Cups of the 70's & 80's, an America's Cup effort in 1987 with the NYYC, and Maxi racing in the 90's.

Jack Orr re-located from North Sails in San Diego, CA to join North's sales team in Milford, CT. He has been a sailmaker for nearly 20 years and has been working at North Sails since 1988. Until his move to Connecticut, he had been primarily involved with the production of new sails.

A life long sailor and yacht racer, Paul Van Dyke has many recent sailing accomplishments including setting the outright Round the World sailing record aboard the 125-foot catamaran Cheyenne and winning the New England Multihull Associations season trophy on board the Antrim 40 trimaran Zephyr.

Tom Castiglione Tom entered the marine industry as a yacht Captain in the early 90’s but quickly found himself with a passion for sail shape and technology. In 2000, Tom joined the North Team and currently manages both the Long Island and Milford Sales and Service lofts.
