X-41
North-Powered Boats Win 2008, 2009 and 2010 X-41 World and European Championships!
The special relationship between North Sails and the famous Danish boat
designer/builder, X-Yachts, is one of the most consolidated examples of
a sailmaker and boat builder partnership. North has worked closely with
X-Yachts on the development and promotion of the X-41 one design class.
Across several European North Sails lofts, we have invested hundreds of
hours testing different rig configurations based on our designed sail
shapes, starting with the first model that touched the water in Denmark
on 2007. At the 2008 Gold Cup in Copenhagen, 30 X-41s hit the start
line for the first 'unofficial' World Championship, which confirmed
that the X-41 was a high level racing class. Since then, North-powered
boats have dominated the racing scene by winning the World Championship
in 2008, 2009 and 2010. North-powered boats also won the 2008, 2009 and
2010 European Championships.

Mediterranean in 2008. When he's not working closely with owners and
crew in the X-41 class, Alessio also races on X-35s, TP52s, Wallys and
