Tim Healy wins Boat of the Week honors at Quantum Key West
North Sails One Design coordinator Tim Healy and Team Helly Hansen were crowned 'Boat of the Week' by Premiere Racing President Peter Craig after winning the 60-boat J/70 fleet at Quantum Key West.

"We were very pleased and excited to win the Boat of the Week trophy," said Healy. "Winning was a huge honor for us because it was a challenging week of sailing among some very good competition. It was nice to finish the week off earning the top honor. Our sails, sail trim, team work and preparation leading up to this event proved a winning combination."

"J/70 trim and tune is still in it's infancy. I learn more every time I sail the boat,” said Healy. “As North's J/70 class expert, I'm happy to pass along my knowledge to advance the skills of the class. All of us at North One Design feel improvement is a key factor in people having fun on the water."

Healy spent a large part of his spare time working closely with North U Regatta Services, a performance analysis program designed by North Sails to help all sailors improve boatspeed and sail trim set ups. Healy hosted a pre-regatta J/70 clinic followed by two video debriefs during the event.

"Tim is a prime example of our renewed commitment to enhance the regatta experience for all in attendance,” said North Sails president Ken Read. "North Sails strives to continually help sailors get more out of their racing by sharing expert insights through our North U Regatta Services team and One Design class leaders.”

North U Regatta Services had a different focus each of the five event days,” said Chuck Allen, North U Regatta Services coordinator. "We hosted more than 40 sailors at our headquarters every night after racing, reviewing photos and offering sail trim and rig tune advice to help teams achieve more boatspeed. It was another great event for all sailors and we look forward to teaming up with North One Design again at our next stop- the Sperry Top-Sider St Petersburg NOOD in February."
